Sick:

I've been sick since Tuesday evening. I'm starting to feel better, but am still a little mucus-y. Being sick is lame.

For a while, I was doing really well with taking pictures whenever I went on adventures. However, over the last few months, I've been failing miserably. It probably has a lot to do with an overall lack of adventures during my last semester at BYU. Now I think I'm just out of the habit, even though I tend to have my camera with me whenever I go do something particularly exciting.

I miss living a well documented life.

Dentists Make My Teeth Hurt:

I went to the dentist last Monday to get a filling. Did my tooth hurt before? No. Did my tooth hurt after? A little. Does my tooth still hurt? Yes.

Say what?

And I get to go back to the dentist on Tuesday so that I can get a couple more fillings, thus making even more teeth hurt that don't currently hurt. And my parent's insurance is paying ridiculous amounts of money for all of this.

Dentists are awesome.

Amazon:

I once had a friend who highly recommended using the Amazon Marketplace to buy used CD's instead of paying full price for them from other stores. I had always intended on looking up used CD's on Amazon the next time I decided to buy some, but I always forgot. Until the other day.

I was in the process of trying to decide which CD's I wanted to get with the last of my Christmas money, and I remembered that I should check and see how good of deals I could get on Amazon. Turns out that I could get good enough deals that I could get all of them. Yes, I bought all of the CD's. At least, all eight of the ones from which I was trying to pick two or three to get.

Three or four of the CD's I got are brand new, one of which cost forty-five cents. Two more cost three and four dollars. One of the used ones that I got cost a penny.

Now, bear in mind, these are eight of the greatest CD's in the world. In this one purchase, I spent more money on shipping than I did on CD's, spent an average of $5.60 per CD (including the shipping in the cost), got about half of them brand new, the other half as good as new condition, and completed my Get Up Kids, Jimmy Eat World, Tugboat Annie, Sunday's Best, Promise Ring and Early November collections.

For the price of three or four regularly priced CD's, I bought the last of the CD's that I could possibly ever want.

Now, I'll spend the rest of my life buying CD's that I don't actually want, and most definitely don't really need.

Boredom:

I recently decided that I should focus on trying to find a place to live in Seattle and not worry so much about trying to find a job in Whatcom County. As a result, I have nothing of real importance to do, except for when I'm trying to line up trips to Seattle, or going on trips to Seattle or, eventually, actually moving to Seattle. Instead, I spend the majority of my time doing unimportant things liking reading books just for fun, eating candy, and playing Mario Kart on the Gamecube.

Not that I'm complaining. I did kind of kill myself last semester, doing homework all the time, and such. (Though, I did get a 3.94 GPA for the semester out of the deal...I'm just not sure I'll ever sign up for that many credits in a semester again.) And, I find that having nothing to do all of the time makes it really easy to find time to study my scriptures as much as I would like, and to exercise regularly.

In short, boredom is okay. It's just kind of boring.
